It’s not too often you get to be on the front lines of history. Over the years, I’ve found myself on a few on those front lines telling stories of survival, heartache, and affecting change with government. I guess that’s what makes being a reporter rewarding.
I knew coming out of high school I wanted to be a reporter. What started out reading science fun facts off a teleprompter for a local news station has turned into the best job in the world. It’s a very rewarding job especially when you make a difference in someone’s life.
Currently, I’m a video journalist/reporter with Bay News 9 in St. Pete/Tampa, Florida. Before moving south, I was a general assignment reporter with WJHG in beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida. I have covered dozens of breaking news stories all the way to grandma’s cat that found itself stuck on top of a power pole.
I am learning to speak Spanish. Hopefully, it will pay off down the road.
When not on the tube, you can find me mentoring in local schools, playing a round or two of golf, and watching plenty of sports.
